Western Carolina track & field head coach Danny Williamson was named the Southern Conference Men's Indoor Coach of the Year after leading the Catamounts to the 2016 Southern Conference Indoor Championship while freshman Jamie Brown was named the Men's Indoor Freshman of the Year as announced the league's office Wednesday. On the women's side junior Hailey Cook picked up her first Most Outstanding Field Performer award of her career.
