The Western Carolina men's and women's track & field programs set a pair of meet records on the opening day of the Beynon Sports Surface Catamount Classic on the campus of WCU. Sophomore Laney Browder took home the women's 10,000m title with a meet record performance while freshman Tyrie Adams made his outdoor debut and won the men's high jump as he nearly toppled the school while clearing seven feet for the first time in his collegiate career.
