The Western Carolina men's and women's cross country teams returned to Asheville, N.C., to compete in the Asheville Cross Country Challenge Saturday morning. The Catamount women took third out of an 11 team field while the men placed fifth out of 12 teams. Sophomore Kaitlyn Lingard was WCU's top individual finisher as she placed second in the women's 5K race with a blazing time of 18:33.78.
