The Western Carolina men's and women's cross country teams traveled across the state to compete in the VertCross Invitational hosted by High Point University Friday afternoon. The field featured teams from the ACC, Atlantic 10, Big South, CAA, Conference USA, OVC, Southern and Sun Belt conferences. The women finished 11th in the field of 20 while the men placed 15th in a 22-team field.
